About the author
Jerry Medernach (curriculum vitae) is a scientific researcher at the Institute of Exercise Training and Sports Informatics of the German Sports University in Cologne. He began his sports studies in Cologne in 2006 and accomplished his Ph.D. in 2015. His current research focuses on the cognitive decision-making processes in indoor bouldering. Jerry also works as sports teacher, climbing coach, and route setter. He started climbing in 2002, was a member of the German National Climbing Team NRW, and managed to climb routes up to 8b+.
